Mitologias perdidas I (Lost Mythologies I)

Lost Mythologies is a compilation of images and stories that construct imaginary identities for when we feel orphaned of our cultural heritage. Migration processes and colonialism have created situations where people have had to erase their roots in order to survive. Those of us who are descendants are left with that void, the result of surviving.

(EN) Some of us are born in the cracks of identity. We're neither from here nor there. We are someone, or we grow up as someone, because that's what we're told. We're given a name that's like a garland, a list of destinies.

We're happy with the name, but when we emerge from the crack and meet those born inland, far from the blurred borders, we discover that our gods were real and sustained everything. But they're gone, they were killed. And now we're living in a crack where a sun shines that we don't know how to recognize.
